Automatic Dosing System

The Automatic Dosing System is used in water treatment systems for raw water, condensate water, boiler water, demineralized water, and similar applications. By monitoring changes in the water and steam quality of the thermal system, the dosing metering pump automatically injects chemical solution into the water-steam system, helping maintain the system water quality in good operating condition and ensuring the safe operation of the unit.

Features

Structure of Automatic Dosing System

1.Chemical dosing units are generally available in configurations such as single-tank single-pump, double-tank double-pump, triple-tank triple-pump, and four-tank four-pump systems.

2.The main components of a chemical dosing unit include a solution tank, level gauge, metering tank, agitator, dosing metering pump, safety valve, pressure gauge, control cabinet, valves, and integrated piping. The main material options for these components are stainless steel and rubber-lined carbon steel.

3.All components, including the electric mixing tank, metering pump, piping, valves, and control cabinet, are centrally assembled on one platform to form a complete dosing skid. The platform is also equipped with anti-slip stairs and an operating platform for easier access and operation.

4.The outlet pipe of the dosing pump should be equipped with a pulsation dampener, back pressure valve, safety valve, manual isolation valve, and a pressure gauge with pulse dampening. The safety valve pressure must be set lower than the maximum nameplate pressure of the metering pump.

Automatic Dosing System

why choose our products

This fully automatic chemical dosing system combines a high-precision metering pump with online sensors to monitor key parameters such as pH and ORP in real time, enabling more accurate and stable chemical dosing while effectively reducing manual operating errors.

The unit features a compact integrated skid-mounted design, with core components such as the storage tank, agitator, and metering pump assembled into one system. This not only makes transportation more convenient, but also helps shorten on-site installation time. The system is equipped with a PLC control program and an LCD touch screen, supporting multiple operating modes such as timed dosing and proportional dosing, and allowing fully automatic, unattended operation.

To suit different chemical media and demanding working conditions, the unit can be manufactured with a range of corrosion-resistant materials, including PVC, PP, PE, SS316, and fluorine-coated options, ensuring both safety and long-term reliability. At the same time, it is equipped with multiple safety features such as low-level alarm, flow monitoring, and dry-run protection, which help reduce operating risks and prevent chemical leakage.

To meet the needs of different chemical types and project integration requirements, the system also supports non-standard customization and can be connected to remote monitoring systems through 4–20 mA or Modbus communication, providing users with a more flexible, efficient, and intelligent chemical dosing solution.

FAQ

Q: What does an automatic chemical dosing system do?

A: An automatic chemical dosing system adds the right amount of chemical into the process without relying on constant manual adjustment. It is commonly used to control water quality, protect equipment, and keep treatment performance more consistent.

Q: Why do users prefer automatic dosing over manual dosing?

A: Because it helps reduce guesswork. Manual dosing can easily become too high or too low, especially when water conditions change. An automatic system makes the process more stable and can also save labor in day-to-day operation.

Q: Can the dosing amount change automatically during operation?

A: Yes, in many systems it can. The dosing rate can be linked to flow, pressure, pH, conductivity, or other control signals, so the system responds better when operating conditions go up or down.
