Side stream filter

The side-stream filter uses metal electrodes made of special materials. Under an appropriate applied voltage, the flowing water undergoes micro-electrolysis, which causes dissolved chloride ions, oxygen molecules, and water molecules in the water to generate oxidizing substances such as chlorine dioxide (ClO₂), active oxygen, hydrogen peroxide (H₂O₂), chlorine, and hypochlorous acid (HClO). As the water circulates through the system, these oxidizing agents are carried to all areas reached by the water, where they help eliminate bacteria and algae cells in the water system.

Bacteria and algae cells in the water passing through the treatment unit are directly destroyed by the electric current. At the same time, active oxygen forms an oxide film on the inner surface of the piping, helping protect the equipment from further corrosion and suppressing microbial corrosion and deposit corrosion. After treatment, the degree of water molecule association is reduced and the water structure changes, increasing the dipole distance and polarity of the water. These changes enhance the water's hydration ability and scale-dissolving capability.

For systems that have already developed scale, the active oxygen helps break the intermolecular electronic bonding force and changes the crystal structure of the deposits, turning hard, aged scale into a looser and softer form that gradually dissolves or breaks away in flakes. In addition, dissolved salt ions in the water, such as calcium ions, magnesium ions, carbonate ions, and sulfate ions, are affected by the microcurrent, causing them to migrate toward different electrodes and become rearranged. This makes them less likely to accumulate on the pipe wall, thereby helping prevent scale formation.
